A great site but...
My wife has tried to get me to go to Cornwall for the last 8 years, so I gave in and ended up here.
Now I try to be honest and fair in my reviews so here we go, 3 of us 2 adults a 6yr old and lively springer spaniel puppy.
Getting to the site was easy and we'll sign posted, upon arrival however you have to park your outfit and walk around the site to find a pitch you want then deposit the wife, child and dog insitue to prevent someone else getting it ,then return to office to tell them your pitch number, before towing van to the pitch.
First impressions of the site are well kept with magnificent views from all angles. We ended up as far from the reception as you could be ...not through choice just lack of pitches.
Now with this came 2 issues, the toilets and showers for the top part of the site are mobile ones and although spotless (credit to the wardens) they are too small by far, you can't shower in them if like us you have a little one,so end up walking all the way down to reception. The other issue is lack of wife even using the sites wife was hit and miss.
A walk to the beach is not for the faint hearted or unfit, very steep with open edges, too dangerous for youngsters not to be holding hands. We faced gales and blimey did we know it, the biggest surprise was the awning being still attached in the morning.
The site office sells a good selection and the pork sausages are fabulous, the wardens made a real effort to make the stay the best it could be and Julie was so lovely.
In closing fabulous site, views that are fantastic and smashing staff . oh nearly forgot a good dogfield too!
Tintagle is close and fish n chips from uncle jacks cabin in the high street are cheap and fresh! 9/10
