We had a lovely pitch on Lower Beck which the site staff told us was the quieter part of the site. There are a lot of site staff which is probably due to the Experience Freedom glamping pods as I understand need more maintenance - we didn't see many site staff around the site. Although the part of the site we were on was quiet, there was noise from the adjacent activity centre - the noise from the quad bikes and shooting in the day was okay but there was loud music on Saturday night which continued until the early hours of Sunday morning. The information room was a disappointment - a large room with very little in it. Site staff were unable to provide any information about local buses - suggesting we look online if we needed any information. On a more positive note, the facilities block was spotlessly clean. The site is probably one that we would use again for an overnight stay if we were travelling north as it's not too far from the motorway, but not one for us to stay on any longer.
