Lovely site, welcoming staff and a well stocked shop in reception for those essentials you forgot. Large spacious and clean facilities. Nice dog exercise area. The pub on the site next door (The Gamekeeper Inn) is very welcoming and busy. Best to book in advance and via their web site however if with pets watch out that while the bar is very dog friendly (and serves food) there is a no dog policy in the restaurant. We missed this when booked however the staff gladly moved us to the bar and the choice for food and quality was great. Mobile phone coverage is patchy at best (not a bad thing!) we did mange to get a signal on 3 walking on the dog path above the site.
