Probably the best UK break we have had

The site is in an outstanding location, with wonderful flora and fauna at the time we visited, notably deer and foxes in the grounds adjacent to the site, and gazillions of rabbits. Curlews and other birdlife unique to the area also prevalent, and outstanding scenery enhanced by the fact that the meadows had not yet been mown when we were there, creating an abundance of colour, including late wild orchids. Add into the mix outstanding walks close to the site, so no need to drive loads, and the ability to punctuate those walks with one of the many brilliant pubs near the site (some with their own micro-brewery, notably the Lamb Brewery at The Queens at Litton, which also served the best home-made pies I have had in many a year, so not for the dieters!) so this two week early summer break was near perfect. I would recommend a visit to the National Park Centre at Grassington, where there was an abundance of local guides including walking and cycling guide books. The site itself is very friendly, great wardens, clean facilities and frankly the Covid provisions were excellent, and not really a problem. A shame a notable minority chose not to comply with the band system for the shower/toilet blocks though. Overall one of the best UK caravan breaks we have had, and we will most certainly go back. For walkers and cyclists and fans of the great outdoors this is superb, but not sure there is a huge amount nearby for families with young kids.
