Door banging & usual Unit levelling up issues

Autumnal return visit during poor weather. Pleasant enough site & area as always but sadly heavy rain also caused some on site flooded pitches and muddy dog walks. Short days & rain meant most were tucked up inside their Units by 4pm. Sadly an increasing issue, on many quieter sites now, was frequent noisy habitation & cab door slamming & banging at all hours, especially so on the Motorhomes with the sideways sliding doors. Perhaps time that CAMC guidance was issued that door slamming is not required to click the door closed ? As previously, whilst the site pitches & layout have been re-furnished recently, at no doubt great expense, there are very few with sideways level aspects so one wheel ramping is required to most - at usual much hassle so be aware. Clearly the Architect / designer / CAMC didn’t consider this basic issue a very important factor !

Perhaps, like panel vans we have had, the only way to secure the door in the closed position is to slam it? Sliding doors can often be closed in place gently but require a slam to fully engage the catch. I doubt it’s something any rule can cover.

Have you not been on any site that tow cars tend also to have many doors or so it seems with the slaming of them

As for panel van conversions the side sliding doors unless electric all requite a a wizbang to make them close correctly  ask any PVC ownerwink
