A Real Gem!

Having bought a new motor home we were desperate to try it out and needed it to be local in case of any problems. We had never realised what was on our doorstep - it was a wonderful few days and we even extended our visit as we were having such a lovely time. The dogs were in 7th heaven having the beach so close and being on the front row we loved sitting just enjoying the view listening to the waves. The toilet block was absolutely spotless and the wardens very friendly too. If you want fish and chips they are only a five minute walk away. Having travelled a lot, we have to say, that the sun rise we were privileged to see was spectacular. We will be back without a doubt. Just excellent!

Love love love it !

We have been going to Whitehouse beach for 7 years and we love it.Yes,the toilet block beach side is a little tired but always spotlessly clean. But really  who cares, you are in a caravan in view of the sea what more do you want ..... A real marmite site !!

Basic site, not in a great location

We stayed for 4 nights during the Easter break. The site itself is at the end of a narrow road which is quite tricky to negotiate, all of the grass pitches were ropped off as they were so water logged and then one night after a big down pour a few off the hard standings were also water logged and a few people were having to move pitches as their awnings were sitting in water. The tv had no signal at all even with our booster cable so we were glad of our laptop which had some films on we could watch and we also read a lot. We were on the bigger side of the site there were some pitches on the beach side aswell which were all occupied and there was a small toilet block there aswell. The toilet block was closed for cleaning quite early (9:45am) so we had to be up and organised which didnt go down that well with two teenage girls!  There is alot to do in the area, Southwold is only a short drive and we had a lovely day there, Great Yarmouth also has plenty to do, Africa Alive also made another day out which is a 5 minute drive from the site. Plenty of supermarkets in Lowestoft, we also found a decent chinese takeaway for one evening. The site itself does make a decent base for exploring the area and there is plenty to do.

Well worn site

We stopped on the beach front area of the site and found that the shower/toilet block are in desperate need of some TLC as do the pitches. The site is also far from being peaceful as the road cutting through is very busy and noisy.

Good location but the road is very noisy

We love the location of this site especially being able to see the sea if you are lucky enough to be able to get a sea front pitch. But the pitches at the back of the site near the sea is adjacent to the road which is very busy, we were woken up during the night numerous times, it just looks like a quiet lane so we were surprised how busy it was (we had pitch 3) definitely one to be avoided.

Restfull stay.

We have been a regular patron to this site for many years and enjoyed the facility on the beach side park. We were sorry to see that the club had changed the rules without informing members allowing season ticket holders to stay for up to 8 weeks at a time twice during the season. When we arrived at 12.00 on the day of opening we were surprised to find that all the pitches 24 to 19 with the exception of 20 had been taken the day before official opening. This will put people off. Never the less the site is good and we will still enjoy our stay if we can get on the beach side. Thanks to the Wardens for keeping it nice and clean.

Lovely place!

We have just returned (a day early due to Storm Warning) and we really enjoyed our stay at White House Beach. The wardens were fantastic and really helpful and a credit to the CC. The facilities were all working correctly and spotlessly clean. Local shops are within walking distance and the nearest supermarket is a 10 min drive. The beach is close and a lovely walk. The one moan would be the very basic kids play area but with plenty of natural space I'm being quite harsh. I would recommend this site to anyone and it's a credit to the CC!!

Not disappointed

As always the welcome to the site was as expected good wardens, allthough early in the season everything was working. Allthough the site needs some updating we are sure this will happen in time, will return later this season but again early next, great site great staff 10 out of 10.

Beach walks

Had a lovely 2 night visit here last weekend of their season, it was lovely and quite, although we only live in next village it was great as we could walk onto the beach in a couple of minutes so great for dogs and kids alike, although end of season everything was still spotless.

Warm Welcome & Days Out

We've been here many times before and its always a great site. Still is. Great place for walking, snoozing, listening to the sea and watching the Mobile Park Homes negotiate the corners! There are bus services, café, chippy and shops all in walking distance. A real credit to CCC
