Good for families

Far too many dogs.

We stayed in September. The site was a typical club site. 1 of the Male wardens was a little sharply spoken for no reason, ? Tired end of season. We did feel there needs to be more hard standing, and we where shocked just how many dogs where on site, some I most say with bad owners. Most mornings our neighbour would take his 3 large dogs out after they had been moaning to go for a long while. Only for them in desperation to deposit their droppings out side our awning. Yes the owner did pick up. But it wasn’t what we wanted while eating breakfast. If he had taken the poor things earlier as they where requesting he’d of made it to the dog walk. He wasn’t the only bad owner we spotted. Also the smell of dog pee on the waysides and pathways is awful. No we are not anti dog, just anti bad owners. I Truly believe it is time the club charged for dogs and put a limited to numbers per unit. Would you like to be camping on a pitch that had previously had 4-5 dogs on it?

Soooo, you spoke to your neighbour about his misguided ways, or did you just put up with it and then complain in a site review?

I wholeheartedly agree with you on the dog issue, not here but throughout the Club. I have previously written to the Club on this issue, but with no response.

Little point speaking to the warden about such an issue and I suspect that OP ensured deposit was collected and then got on with his holiday. It is poor site management not to read reviews whether the sites managers respond or not.

And you will probably not get a response because what you subscribe to is effectively a dog club for caravaners. Dogs rule here.

I find this Dog Free Sites very useful.

As this is , according to most information out there, a nation of animal lovers  (all types) and most are responsible owners , which as usual is spoilt for some by the few who  (like speeding on site)do not think of others ,but it is noticed that more areas are now accepting, if they do not welcome dogs and a responsible owner a lot of business will pass them by, so charging for dogs to come on sites is not good business sense as both of the major clubs accept,

" I can name a dog free site where people queue for days at a time"

Blimey - to think that some folk complain about the midday queues at club sites! laughing
