Peace and quiet within reach of Edinburgh
Lovely site, set in grassy informal areas. Very quiet, great area for the children to explore, ideal for birdwatching and walks.
Wardens were very helpful and informative with a great sense of humour. We just used it as a base for going into Edinburgh for the Fringe Festival, but it would have been nice to have spent time exploring the area . Hopefully we can come back and put that right. The only downside was the smell from spraying the fields in the area, but that wasn't down to the site.
