Stayed here for two nights and have to say the wardens were nice and friendly, the site is immaculate and couldn’t fault it in anyway.. Two things of note tho for visitors; 1- due to the location and access it’s not possible to walk off the site with a dog 2- the park and ride is a little further away that suggested! 25-30 minute walk along a busy main road with no pavement. One other slight annoyance we had which is nothing to do with the site but, if you have a dog and get the taxi firm they recommend to take you into York please make sure that they have cars available who take dogs for the return journey! We got stranded in York with the dog as the Taxi firm couldn’t send a car to collect us in the early evening as they said they didn’t have any cars on shift that would take a dog....eventually managed to get a local taxi driver to take us back to the site!
