Not what it look like in the book

I booked in here for 31 days from August, prior to arriving the club contacted us to say there maybe an issue with large caravans, however of we had a motor mover we would be fine, and given the choice to go or not. The club contacted us again however we didn't get this message as we were travelling there. On arrival the owner said that they had a problem with their chemical toilet disposal and it was out of use. There was a whiff of sewage near the top of the site. Pitch was small, A Frame jutting out into road. Cabins now take up the lower part of the site and look terrible. The smell of sewage was terrible at the pool, their septic tanks are around the pool area. Was told the chemical toilet could be 2 to 3 days before it was fixed. Stayed 4 days and left once the club said they would refund our payment. We moved to Auto Camp Tabor 800 meters along the road. Up until September you could still smell the sewage when passing. Great service from the Caravan Club as usual. This site should not be in the broucher.

Response from the Club:

Many thanks for your review and we are glad you were happy with the service from the Club. The campsite had a problem with its chemical waste disposal unit and unfortunately this resulted in some problems during the season of 2022
The site no longer offer this service and have had no problems of sewage smells during the season of 2023.
The site is a tiny site with 10 small touring pitches with clean ,modern wash and toilet facilities and direct access to the beautiful bay for swimming.
All the images on our website are correct and represent the campsite as it will be for the 2024 season.
