2 day stopover

Pleasant site, nice people shame about the standard of cleanliness of toilets, washing and shower facilities. Handy for the village with a vets practise for pet passport etc. Would stay here again because of the staff and transport links into Reims.

Disappointing after years of pleasure

Have been multiple times since the new ownership, and I have praised it a lot in the past here. However, just back from a four day stop over. Although the owners were as pleasant as ever, we saw no sign of a cleaner around the toilets/shower block for the entire time we were there and they were dirty with waste bins not being emptied. The poubelles were in a similar situation with the bins were overflowing. Not sure if this was just end of season tiredness, or some other reason, but paying £20+ pounds for this standard is not acceptable, and we will be looking elsewhere. It is sad that I have to say these things.

Stopover or longer

We stayed for 5 nights as recommended by other reviews and we were not disappointed. Didier and his wife are lovely and speak perfect English. Have a walk into town via the river and church. It has a local supermarket and a small bar which is full of locals. Visit the vineyards south west of Reimes around the villages of Chatillion-s-Marne and Fleury-la-Riviere, or just follow the 'Wine road tour'. By the end of our stay we felt like one of the locals and were sorry to leave. We will definitely return.

Ideal for longer stays or stopovers

This was our second visit to this site, the first being more of a stop over (very convenient as others have stated being just off the A26). This time we had a longer period - there is plenty to do in the area over and above the main cities of Reims and Laon. Both times we have been there have been just outside of the main holiday period and we found it nice and quiet with plenty of choice of pitch. Order the night before for Fresh bread, croissants etc. the following morning. Basic but good consistent food at the bar at sensible prices. The weather was good so we were able to eat outside on the decking overlooking the site. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and we will certainly be using it again

Lovely site, charming owners

My wife, me and the two dogs stayed here in September 2016 for 12 nights. First, it is very easy to get to the site from Calais, get on the A26 and turn off just 10kms from the site, paying about 27 euros. You get to choose your own pitch and there was plenty to choose from, we got our caravan into a space dead easy! There is a small pool, which we used regularly, plenty of clean showers etc, a little bar which does steak frites, chicken and very good pizza. The owners are brilliant, superb English and very helpful and friendly, even though our dogs tried to eat their cats every day! The local town, Guignicourt, has little to offer apart from the Carrefour, but Reims and Laon are definitely worth a visit. We had a really nice holiday in beautiful rural France.

Good overnight stop

Good overnight stop for us. Easy to find. Good sized level pitches. Covered swimming pool was fun.

Good for a short stay

We used this site on the way to and from the French Alps. Nice site, level pitches BUT no toilet paper supplied - best to find this out before you get to the toilet. Other than that the facilities were OK, sensor operated showers could be a bit quirky and come back on when you are drying yourself if the towel flicks past the sensor. Restaurant and bar are basic but OK and the food is reasonably priced. The covered pool is great and popular. There is a walk along the river bank accessed via a secure gate, but there are a lot of midges so take your insect repellent. Access to Reims and Epernay is easy for trips around Champagne houses.

Two night stop over

Friendly welcome from helpful owner. You are invited to choose your own (very spacious) pitch. Pretty, well maintained site situated in village which has handy supermarket within easy walking distance. The pool is covered so can be used whatever the weather. The only slightly annoying thing is that you have to remember to take your own loo paper to toilet block and you have to keep pressing the shower on but all in all an ideal stop over site and a very pleasant site if you wish to relax and stay longer. Limited menu but handy bar area where you can have good value pizza etc.You can drive a short distance and take a park and ride tram to Reims which takes any stress out of parking in the city.

Great stop off point for the journey home

Only 5 km from the A26 motorway above Reims. Lovely site next to the river with good dog walks. Mosquito repellant a good idea! Friendly English speaking staff. I was surprised at how many English caravans and motorhomes there were. Typically no toilet paper and not quite as clean as the English Caravan Club sites that we stayed on, but would definitely stay here again. Pizza or chicken and chips were on offer in the restaurant and a bread roll ordering service available.
