Stop Over on way to the Spanish Border and on way home again
No way this is a five star campsite ... we used this campsite as a stop over on our way to the South of France, both on our way down and also on our way home again. The first thing we encountered was the very tight gates at the main reception ... im sure there has been a few caravan damaged on them but thank God we squeezed are way through. We had a special pitch booked with on site water and drainage, but when we gor to the pitch which had be special reserved for us i was extremely disappointed at how uneven the pitches were ... they were awful ... not to mention that our drainage had to run up the hill ???? i asked the guy are you sure this is where the drainage has to run to ???? he said yes that was the drainage for my site ... ah dont think i should have listened to him as when we got up the next morning the water had backed up and flooded out over the shower try and all over the bathroom floor ... not a happy bunny to say the least ... must say i couldnt fault the swimming pool but the tennis court was horrific ... had to stop the kids playing on it in case the broke an ankle as it was covered in large crack and lumps of tarmac all over it. The toilets ... needed knocked down and rebuilt ... the restaurant food was good but we were attacked by flies and wasps the whole time during dinner in the end my wife had to just get up and leave as she was scared of getting stung ... the staff ... instead of trying to help just stood and laughed which i thought was a disgrace !!!
Must say the Chateau was stunning but this dosent make the site a 5 star site .... compared to other sites i stopped at this would have only made 2 stars if even .... hate to say this but Idont think ill ever be back here
