Good for families

Not for us.

We visited in early July with two grandchildren aged 10 and 7. It was soon very clear that touring campers are low down the priority list. This is a campsite dominated by fixed tents, static vans and chalets. Tourers are fitted in here and there. The facilities are very attractive for families and I am sure given decent weather many do not leave site. Our boys enjoyed the lake and beach and to a lesser point the all singing/dancing pool. Catering opportunities are varied and plentiful. However there lies the root of some of the problems as many young people drink a lot of alcohol and make a lot of noise late at night. We also saw British families behaving disgracefully throughout the day, sons and fathers brawling and swearing at each other very loudly. Two out of three nights we were disturbed after 11 pm. The toilet/shower facilities gave further concern. Our nearest toilet block was hopelessly inadequate and was unpleasant to use. I hiked about 800 metres to another one which was surrounded by chalets and consequently hardly used. Bizarre. We left after 3 nights and although the boys annoyed their stay we will not return.

Comment from the Club

We are really sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay. Your review has been sent to the overseas team for their feedback. They have spoken to the site who have replied below:

Bonjour,

We have many pitches and clients are usually happy and children love the campsite.

Our cleaning team washes the toilet blocks 2 or 3 times a day.

When clients do not like their pitch, we try when possible to show them another pitch on the campsite.

For future reference we have a night guard and a number to call when trouble on site.

Kind regards
