We initially booked for 10 days and planned to move onwards to Luxembourg and then Germany....we went on to Luxembourg for 10 days but instead of going onwards to Germany we decided to go back to La Clusure as we liked it so much. The staff are friendly, helpful and always available. The bar staff are particular good at making sure you are never kept waiting for a refill (we both loved the white beer) The site itself is well laid out, with utilities and social areas nicely spaced around the site, not all in one place. The toilet blocks were very modern and clean. Hot water showers were free, just press the timer button. Sitting outside the caravan in the evening and I saw fire flies....it was quite magical. The ground is well drained so although on two nights there were heavy rain and thunderstorms the area didn't become muddy. Parts of the site were a little stony so you may need heavier tent pegs. I also noticed that where some areas had become worn the ground staff would seed and water these areas to regenerate the grass. Very well looked after. Given the very hot weather we experienced the swimming pool was an absolute delight, surrounded by trees and lots of pool side seating and parasols to keep off the sun. I swam and my partner sat watching in the Bikini bar and supping white beer. We enjoyed the various entertainments that were arranged (birds of prey, music, etc.) and although we didn't take any children I could see that children were kept entertained each day too. My only criticism is that the pitches are not large and this was noticeable especially during high season. But this is my only criticism as we loved the place.
