This was our last campsite after an eight-week caravan tour of Scandinavia (mainly in Norway, having driven up through Denmark and returning briefly via Sweden). We stayed in around 16 sites for varying lengths of time, and so arrived at Arendshorst for our three final nights aimed at relaxing before returning back from Rotterdam to Hull. Whilst we thoroughly enjoyed all of our tour, our stay at this particular site proved to be the best we had in our entire trip. This was mainly down to the gentle and chilled atmosphere on site, with plenty of room for our large outfit, together with electricity, grey waste and water on each pitch (unlike many Scandinavian sites where electricity cables often criss crossed over the entire site, being driven over frequently, as well as water filling points randomly placed). Wifi was fast and free and available across the whole site, different again to some German sites where it was found in only the Reception). Michael the owner was almost certainly the most sociable and organised site owner/reception person we came across throughout the whole trip, providing a perfectly produced information folder for each touring group. Additionally, it always seemed that he was happy to help, and that it was a pleasure to be of service (an excellent trait other site owners would do well to emulate!) We plan to return to the site next year, for a longer stay at the end of a tour of Germany. We want to see more of this area and the Netherlands, as we felt it deserved more time to explore.
