Loved this site and holiday.  The site has a lovely park and woodland and is next to the river.  The biking here is AMAZING for families - there are excellent cycle paths everywhere (maps in reception). Kids enjoyed taking the self operated bike ferry across the river! Nearest town Ommen is lovely with lots of eateries, every Wednesday there is a market and a medieval kids event was on our first week.  The outdoor pool in Ommen is fantastic - slides and diving boards & play equipment and big bouncy pillow- we spent a good few hours there.  There's a nice splash pool on site for kids too.  Hired a motor boat in Ommen which was fun.  Half an hour away on a rainy day took us to Plopsa Indoor - an indoor theme park which was fun.  Visited Giethoorn - village with no roads only waterways - touristy but driving boat through was nice. Also we discovered throughout the numerous bike ways are RUST stops (R) on map - little sheds on farms where you can get ice creams and drinks and leave money in the honesty box - brilliant - we started to plan routes around the RUST stops! Nearby village of Dalfsen we visited the windmill and got taken right to the top by enthusiastic man who let my son climb on windmill sails! Really recommend, there's lots to do for families and it's a beautiful area. Owners on site very friendly and helpful too. Thanks for a great holiday ;)
