Good for families

One week touring by caravan to see local sights and to embrace the Dutch countryside.

Its very unfortunate that my partner and I choose and very cold and dull week, in early season. However, Michael the owner made us most welcome gave us a folder full of places to visit within an hours drive. He was able to offer a choice of pitches, we choose a pitch just clear of the surrounding woodland and fifty meters from the river, that which seemed to attract fishermen. Its an ideal site for walking, dogs and cyclists, with all routes written in the guide. The restaurant, bar and shop weren't open, but a short drive into one of the nearby towns you were able to buy all your needs. Its a shame that they don't allow charcoal Bar be Que's, even away from the trees, but I understand that you can hire gas stoves at 10 euro's. I would have probably given it a five star rating had we experienced all the facilities. The drive from the ferry at Rotterdam is about 3 hours on excellent roads. Be alert when approaching the site as signage is very small and the turn in very narrow.
