Caravanning des 4 Vents August 2015

Have been on this site several times and each time it does not disappoint. Bearing in mind this is a three star site, the pitches are very large and flat, the facilities are basic but are normally very clean, with a site shop/Van that is surprisingly well stocked for the size of it. The facilities for children are good and the pool is spotless. The site is in a great location for Disneyland Paris and Paris itself, and is easy to get to. I will conclude by saying I would strongly recommend this site, it is great value for money, Ideal for a stop over if you are travelling on a longer journey and I will be returning to it in the future.

Lovely site and well situated

As soon as we arrived at Des 4 Vents, we knew we would like it. It is on the edge of a rustic traditional French village with enormous pitches and a lovely atmosphere. The site is easy to find and extremely well placed for Disney and near enough to a main railway station for Paris. The owners were very friendly and knowledgeable and their '3 days for the price of 2' tickets for Disney was the best deal I could find. The only slight negatives were that the shower blocks were a bit dated and the swimming pool was a little on the cool side. We would certainly return if coming back to the area.

Great site

we had two weeks on the site and visited Disney the staff are very helpful and friendly pitchers are massive and hedged meet some good people and planning to go back next year, only downside is no soap in toilet blocks and you have to take toilet paper from dispencer on wall before you go in the cubicle and pool don't have a shallow end. but its a great site

Good but flawed

Bit of a mixed bag in my opinion. Likes-awesome pitches, the best size i have seen, and ive seen a fair few. Nicely demarcated and a good feeling of space across the site. Decent little takeaway with good wifi (but see below...). Friendly welcome and knowledgeable staff. Excellent location. Dislikes-why does everyone have go and sit at the takeaway to get wifi and be molested by wasps? This is 2015, get the wifi round the camp! Toilets...very iffy. May have been acceptable 20 years ago but frankly not acceptable these days. Not very clean and whats with the plumbing?? Why are we allowed one push tap with warm water? There was no cold tap to clean teeth. Brushing teeth in warm water is rank. Swimming pool needs a shallow end so young children can go in alone. All of these points could be addressed relatively easily. Its a decent site and dead handy for disney and paris but is badly let down, especially by the toilets.

Swe stayed here uperb

We have stayed here for 6 nights as wanted to visit Paris and Disneyland. The site is perfect for exploring the area as well as it is situated in very well kept gardens, we were lucky to be allocated a huge pitch, the kids loved it. The pool was a little too cold and the toilet and facilities could have been a little cleaner but nothing to worry about. The staff was lovely and helpful. I would definitely go back, had a great time.

Very welcoming site - extremely helpful staff with excellent English. Lots of information provided and staff were more than happy to provide the information you needed. Only 10 minute drive to the Railway Station with a direct train for Paris and about 30 minute drive to Disneyland. The site also offers good priced tickets and deals for Disneyland. The cafe was well priced and the chicken was very tasty. The facilities are adequate, although the shower floors were a little grubby. There is a pool, but we didn't use it. The pitches are VERY spacious and hedged all the way around - perfect for playing games without disturbing others. Very quiet site. Will visit again.

Great Disney stop off

Returned again this year to visit Disney once again. Disneyland is very close by. Use the directions supplied by the site and club and not Sat Nav. Vast pitches. Bar, pizzeria and lovely salads. A little pricey but very good food. Great base for exploring the area and good public transport links into Paris city centre. Very friendly and informative staff.

Brilliant site

Second time here, still just as good! Pitches are large with water and drainage very near. Toilet blocks are large and always clean! Plenty to do, even for adults and great for getting into Paris from nearby train station. Staff are very friendly and very helpful, most questions answered with a piece of paper with the full address on to help you find it! Well prepared for all things! Definitely returning here again!

Ideal location for Disney

We stayed here for three nights, we didn't pre book we took the chance for availbility. Super site as other reviews have said, we used it as a base for Disney. Our children are 13 and 9 and loved it becuase of the pool and location. Extremely helpful staff nothing is to much effort. Disney tickets available to buy from reception. We would use this site again.

Brilliant friendly site

I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this site to anyone who enjoys the high standard that caravan club sites usually offer, the toilets and showers were immaculate. we stayed here for just over a week with our two children aged 15 and 12 and we all loved it, the pitches are well maintained and enormous, in fact we had our Bailey Unicorn Valencia in sideways with our full size awning and 4x4 and there was still lots of room, the pool was clean and was used well in the hot days, the staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much for them, the outdoor bistro served good food and had a nice atmosphere with free wifi, excellent location for visiting Disneyland Paris as only about 20km away. We took our bikes and cycled around the surrounding villages, stopping at the local pub for refreshments on the way. There is also a patisserie van on site selling fresh bread, croissants, and other wee essentials.
