Great site great people

This year was our third visit to Chanteloup. The welcome is always very friendly and the staff are very helpful. The site is spacious, the grounds beautiful and the facilities clean. The only downside this year was the restaurant/take away not as good as in previous years. We are already looking forward to staying there again next year.

Ideal stopover when heading South

A fantastic site with helpful staff and super surroundings. A little remote, but that in itself doesn't need to be a bad thing. The food, both in the restaurant and as a take away is fine. Nice and quite in the evenings but with plenty to do during the day. we would not hesitate to return.

Our third and forth visit.

We use Chanteloup as a stop off point to and from the south. It's usually The middle of June on our outward stay, when it's a little quieter. The facilities are fantastic and well maintained, the staff are helpful and very friendly. The Restaurant seems to have had a change of style and menu, not for the better I might ad. On our return journey the stay was noisy, this might be as we had 3 weeks in an adult only site, but kids were still playing ball games in the field after 10.30pm. I still love the site but recommend before or after school holidays.

Don't tell anyone else

Probably the best site we have ever been on. Wonderful hosts and staff. we have been to Chanteloup four times now and will continue to return for many years. Restaurant (under separate management from the site) not as good in 2016 as in previous years but that did not distract from our enjoyment of Chanteloup.

What a find. (Please keep it hush hush)

Stayed for four nights for this years Le-Mans Classic. What a find this place is. The owners and all the staff are so friendly and helpful it made our trip all the more pleasant. Told the other half about it and we are now having next years summer holiday there. Don't tell too many people though !!!!!! To sum up. Just perfect.

Le Mans classic

Very warm welcome at this excellent family run site. Best overseas campsite we have been on & managers encompassed the theme of the 24 hr classic car race ensuring everyone had a good time. Spotlessly clean. Only downfall was that there was no motor home service point on site. They had their own competition for the best classic car on site, an evening of wine & nibbles with white & silver dress code at no extra cost. There was also a 4 course pig roast one night at a cost. This ensured all campers merged together & the atmosphere was increased with a large outdoor TV for us to watch the Euro champs football. Hope to return in 2 years

Best site we have visited.

We have toured a little of France of the past years, this site was the best that we have stayed on thus far and we hope to return. It is quiet, friendly and with beautiful surroundings. The atmosphere was welcoming with aperitifs served on one evening and we were sad to leave after one week. This site should read as excellent in the caravan club brochure.

One of the best sites we have stayed on in France

Good pool area, toilet and shower facilities (clean and modern). Booked for 2 nights stayed for 3, our granddaughter loved the Wendy house village. Staff were great and bar area around the Chateau is very pleasant and relaxing.

Vive Chantaloup

Great site, handy for stopover from Caen etc. Lovely staff, great sense of humour. You may need electric extensions (we had to borrow one from reception, willingly supplied at no charge). We had very poor, very slow service in the restaurant, although the food was good when it arrived. This may have been a one off. Great showers, and all immaculately clean. We'll be back.
