Excellent site

Great site with excellent staff.  Toilet and showers very clean.  Good shop on site for basic groceries, milk, newspapers and lovely bread freshly baked.  Nice walk into Delft or bus at the entrance. Excellent long or short biking and walking routes from the site. Even IKEA within walking distance! Will return as so much more we could have done if we had stayed longer than our 7 days.

Delft in the Rain

A site staffed by very friendly people but it seemed to me that all of the touring pitches are grass so probably alright if it is dry, but for my stay it wasn't. Showers of the push button type but couldn't say they were spotlessly clean, just adequate and about 3 stars in my assessment. On the plus side it is handy for the city of Delft and a Bus Stop in front of the site if you cant face a 15 minute walk. If you use the onsite restaurant make sure you get there early as I arrived at 7.30pm and they had run out of most of their menu. Obviously they have no control over the weather but other aspects need a bit of TLC to bring them up to the standards of a CC site in the UK.

Delftse June 2016

Good site well situated for visiting interesting places and a bonus that you can walk into the centre of the town in 15 mins. Some background motorway noise audible at times on some pitches. Very well stocked shop and all staff friendly and helpful. We ate twice at the restaurant which was good value.

Delft campsite perfect getting around. 19/06/16

This is the 3rd time in 5 yrs we have stayed here and never be disapointed.the staff are very helpfull and friendly always with a smile.we were given a service pitch(bonus)facilities on site are good, you can walk to delft town square in 20 mins which is well worth it with its little canals running along the streets.you can get the no 64 bus outside the campsite which runs every 30 mins into the town or go to the train stn for amsterdam 1 hr, rotterdam 20 mins and rotterdam blaak 25 mins which has a food hall of internation food stalls and just outside the train stn is the market (not mondays) which is well worth a look.we really like this calm relaxing site.

Delft, a town/city worth a visit.

Have stopped here on a couple of previous occasions but have only stayed one night as I thought the pitches cramped, however recently stopped for a 3 and a 4 night period and the pitching appearers much improved. (The 6 metre rule may be in place?) Reception staff very helpful. Motor home areas well drained when wet.

FANTASTIC STAY WEATHER PERFECT

Lovely site.  Entrance to it though not good..have to access under motorway.  Not a good first impression. No where to park once you have committed to entering the site to check in (recommend parking just past entrance on the left) large enough for big caravans etc., out of peoples way too. Reception staff wonderful and welcoming on site shop has everything and chip van on a Thursday, site great for exploration. Nearer to home though fantastic walks, cycling and horse riding tracks. Great Cafe/Restaurant in walking distance of site by lake. By car though you have to go round the houses...as one way road back. Easier to walk. Perfect location for centre of Delft, Amsterdam, etc., the dykes beautiful well worth a visit as too Kinderjyke windmill heritage site and kukenhoff for tulips!!(beware though limited spring only opening of 5 weeks) Will certainly return.  Recommending to Swift Owners and Herefordshire Caravan Clubs as they take rallies.  Our weather was perfect not like Dutch weather at all so made huge difference. Many thanks to all involved there. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SITE only 40 miles from ferry if you find EU driving daunting.

Beautiful setting

Lovely campsite set in a beautiful location just a 10min walk from the centre of Delft.  Although the weather was lovely during the day at night we experience heavy rain which did see our pitch get water logged.  The hard standing pitch was fine for the caravan but the car got stuck and we needed pushing out. The staff were very helpful and great with the kids, who hired go carts out daily as the site was safe enough for them to explore alone. Not all shower blocks were open when we visited, despite the site being full, which meant a wait in the ladies showers. The shop on site was well stocked, there is play area for the children as well which they enjoyed.  We didn't try the restaurant out as we ate out in the town of Delfte.  The town was beautiful and had lots of shops and bars/restaurants to choose from.  There is a market on Thursday, but we preferred the market on Saturday as there was more choice for cheese, fish, meats and flowers. Great for bike riding around the campsite as its set in a country park so you can cycle for miles. Tip - don't use sat nav to campsite it takes you through a housing estate in the town of Delfte to a narrow road which only buses can use under the road, so approach from Ikea. We had a lovely time and will certainly return.

Wet but wonderful!

Most convenient for ferry and sight-seeing as well as close to open countryside for walking and cycling. The facilities offered were very good though we didn't sample the restaurant. Staff were most helpful and as in most of Holland, English is spoken. This was our second stay here and we can thoroughly recommend it. There are some major roadworks going on at the moment (for the last 2 yrs!) so ensure you have an up to date map or Sat Nav. There are no diversion signs!

Great location

Picked the site as it was close to the ferry and Delft. Booked 2 nights, but extended it to 3 so we could take the tram to The Hague. Easy flat walk to Delft, with a shuttle if you'd rather ride into town. The first pitch we were given was very boggy after rain, so moved across the road where the pitch was a hard standing with good drainage. Good facilities, and friendly staff.

A great week

This was our first overseas trip with the 'van and all went smoothly. We went in August so the site was very busy with lots of children though they weren't playing around the pitches. Whilst the facilities are fairly basic they were clean and perfectly adequate. The onsite shop was very well stocked and the freshly baked pastries for breakfast were a nice treat! Delft is about a 20 minute walk and is a beautiful town - the market on a Thursday is a must visit - definitely try the lekkerbekker! Den Haag and Amsterdam are easily reached by train and the windmills at Kinderdijk are around a 40 min drive and are worth a visit.
