Highly recommend this site either to try out wines or overnight before the ferry. We stayed for two nights in May with a 7.2m motorhome which we parked in the field. The site was busy and many of the available pitches were tight for turning or a squeeze on size but we liked the field better anyway - very friendly, full of like minded people and very sociable. Plenty of clean toilet and showers, bar that sells basics of bread and wine but not cheese or butter. Swimming pool was unheated but we welcomed that as we were there in a heat wave of 40+. Site gets very busy at weekends (lots of long term ptiches) and can be a bit noisy if there are big family gatherings. In walking distance of the town, supermarkets, restaurants and bars and best of all, a short stroll to some of Rioja's best wine makers. And it's an easy drive to Santander.
