Grangrad and Grannie

We had a five night stay here mid July and it was hot and sunny therefore we soaked up the rays instead of exploring the area as planned. The pitch we had was huge with drainage and own tap which was hugely convenient. The area is very rural and therefore peaceful and we were camped by the lake which is a good way from the bar so we were not disturbed. The bar/restaurant is very good and has speciality evenings when the regular menu is not available so you need to look out for that. The toilets are very clean and have seats and paper. The showers and are nice and hot although they are of the push button variety. Toilets and showers are situated in old barn type buildings with high, airy roofs which I loved. Our grandchildren were not with us but the play areas and equipment looked impressive with bouncy castles and free gocarts as well as the usual swings etc. The pool looked lovely but it is next to the bar so we never made it into the water. A lovely site to which I would return with no hesitation whatsoever.
