Good for families

A little 'Gem'!

Just returned from 4 nights at this site (May). It was busy at the weekend when we arrived - lots of families and a vibrant, lively atmosphere (playground was very full!). Mid-week was quiet with mostly couples and demonstrated how versatile this site is.  Staff very helpful and pleasant. Site beautifully kept and very pretty. Didn't use the pool but it looked a good size and the highlight is absolutely the direct beach access. Gorgeous sand, good for shelling and paddling. I had it almost to myself so lots of space. There is a Carrefour Contact in the town (turn left out of the site onto the beach and walk that way - fabulous!) or you can turn right out of the site entrance and walk into town that way. I had a very relaxing break there - peaceful in the evenings, so quiet through the night. Pitches vary in size but most were of good size with some really large. The site has a one way system which I think supports the peaceful atmosphere as there were very few cars passing. There is one barrier for both entry and exit to the site but it was not a problem. As for the tight exit angle, I saw one (English) car and caravan go around again for another look at pitches and made the turn safely, so I think attitudes to that depends on size of outfit and confidence. We have a large motorhome and had no problem at all reversing into the pitch from the road or in exiting the site. I would definitely return - this is a good site for a longer stay in France without driving too far south.
