Arrived around 22.30 from Portsmouth/Caen ferry. Easy to find and then bad news all the way thereafter. Checked in at reception to be greeted by very loud music as a "disco" was in progress. The only person on reception told us to take any empty pitch and that he couldn't help as he was serving drinks!! Negotiated the very narrow access roads made worse by badly parked cars and very poor lighting. Eventually found a pitch and thank the Lord we had a mover. Even then, it was not easy in the dark as the pitch was very small. We then realised that the pitch was also sloping side to side but by then, we just wanted to get into bed and put up with the angle. To compound the problem, several very loud young (9-12 years) French youngsters were running amok until almost 2am. We assumed their parents were still propping up the bar! Morning couldn't come quick enough and after having more problems (parked cars opposite) getting off our pitch, we were mighty pleased to leave. Never again!!
