Good for families

Not as good as the reviews suggested

The blurb says that it has lots to offer - let's explore this... The pool is good! The loo blocks are clean but beware Brits - no loo seats- just porcelain, no soap or hand driers. The bar is very basic with a lump of kitchen worktop, a few random expensive items on a couple of shelves acting as the shop, is very small, extremely expensive (24 euros for a small beer and 3 x Vodka lemonade), the spirits are not branded and revolting and impossible to tell by taste what the actually are. There are some hot snacks offered  - mostly 'plastic' food and not a taste of the local area, it is not a place to go and meet other holiday makers as it is too expensive and is not much used. The gym is a very small room with 4 pieces of equipment - only one worked - more akin to a scrap cupboard. The pitches are mostly very small and difficult to access with a large caravan (unless you have a mover fitted). Because they are small they are overlooked by neighbours. We found it noisy with endless crying babies - but that's the luck of the draw but not great if the noise source is 3 feet from your caravan. They are crammed onto the site with no open spaces anywhere. They are happy to charge you for allowing your dog to stay with you but offer nowhere to exercise it and in the summer you are not allowed to walk on the fabulous adjoining beach until after 6pm - so a drive to the other side of town to exercise it. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. It's very popular with the French and seemed to be used by other nationalities as mainly a short stopover. Not a place for the teens or if you are gregarious and want to meet new friends. It is however on a great beach and conveniently located to explore this region.
