loved the location. We cycled to Bayeax and American Cemetery via quiet lanes. Site backs onto a quiet lane near golf course and a short walk, short steep cobbled section into lovely Port En Bessin with its own daily fish market, shops, restaurants etc. Visited in June and extended our stay even though was not impressed with toilet/shower cleanliness, although cleaners in twice a day....., what was needed was a deep powerwash clean to removed ground in dirt in corners, edges etc. Plastic matting in showers slimy. No soap in toilet for 5 days even though this was reported. In covered area adjacent to bar, glass coffee tables had same ring stains for the whole of our stay, and the lampshades covered in cobwebs complete with flies.. Nice outdoor area to sit and have a drink or use free wifi. A lot of debris in outdoor sinks, twigs, leaves etc which remained throughout our stay, Outdoor pool not available during stay even though it was June, although there is an indoor one but not as nice for lounging etc. Staff very friendly and helpful, good english speaking. Felt the site security was compromised by a farmers type gate chained, could easily by climbed, backing onto lane at the rear of the site. Such a shame these things were lacking as it is in such a lovely spot.
