Idilic quiet setting

After a precarious journey through St.Emillion with our Sat nav we arrived to a pitch overlooking the lake. A fellow traveller warned us that he had been flooded in their awning so we gratefully pitched on the level. We stayed in late May and enjoyed trips to Bordeaux by train from Libourne .Cycling is easy and many different routes are available around the vineyards or simply into St.Emillion . Staff are freindly and the showers and toilets are clean and tidy. The pool is heated to 28° we were there as it hit 30° and felt it was akin to being in a bath! The restaurant was adequate the bar open daily. St.Emillion is walkable and better at night when the coach tourists have departed. We will definitely return.
