The Caravan and Motorhome Club has joined forces with Korean SUV specialist SsangYong for a special prize giveaway. The competition to win a top specification previous generation Korando worth £26,000 is open until the end of March.
SsangYong is well-known by keen caravanners and the Korando is a popular choice amongst Club members, thanks to its modest price and generous kerbweight to tow heavier caravans. The outgoing Korando has won two of the Club’s Towcar of the Year awards, the first in 2014 and the second in 2018.
The previous generation Korando is an elegant and more purposeful alternative to more mainstream competitors and its 2.2 litre diesel engine is clean, efficient and powerful. The car develops 178PS at 4000rpm and 400Nm of torque between 1400 and 2800rpm giving a wide spread of power – enough whether towing, off-roading or heading to the supermarket. In towing, Korando’s sturdy construction and strong engine performance give a two-tonne towing capacity across the range. With maximum kerb weights of between 1725 and 1775KG Korando offer caravanners an 85 percent ratio of over 1500KG – enough to comfortably tow most vans.
The previous generation Korando will be on display on the Caravan and Motorhome Club’s stand (stand 2000) at the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show at the NEC in Birmingham from 18 to 23 February 2020.
