(12 October 2026) The Caravan and Motorhome Club has announced its full schedule of driver training venues for 2027, operating across a network of 18 dedicated training centres throughout the UK to deliver expert practical tuition for both members and non-members.
With over 47 years of experience delivering practical driver training and having helped over 61,000 people build confidence behind the wheel, the Club’s accredited courses cater to beginners, experienced tourers seeking a refresher, and anyone required to tow a trailer, horsebox, or boat.
Who Can Benefit from 2027 Driver Training Courses?
The Club’s practical training courses are designed to build confidence, ensure safety, and enhance driving skills across a wide range of road users:
- Caravan Owners: Mastering hitching, unhitching, weight distribution, safe towing, and precision reversing.
- Motorhome & Campervan Drivers: Gaining hands-on confidence with vehicle dimensions, spatial awareness, and campsite manoeuvring.
- Horsebox, Boat & Utility Trailer Owners: Developing essential reversing skills, understanding road regulations, and conducting pre-trip safety checks.
- First-Time & Experienced Drivers: Providing step-by-step guidance for complete novices or a reassuring skill refresh for seasoned drivers.
Comprehensive Course Portfolio for 2027
Participants across the nationwide network of 18 UK training centres can select from three core practical courses:
- Practical Caravanning Course: A comprehensive introduction covering road safety, safe loading, coupling/uncoupling, straight-line reversing, and cornering.
- Caravan Manoeuvring Course: A focused, hands-on session designed to eliminate reversing anxiety and master slow-speed manoeuvring in tight spaces.
- Motorhome & Campervan Manoeuvring Course: Tailored specifically for modern motorhome and campervan drivers to build confidence behind the wheel and navigate narrow routes safely.
Key Benefits & Member Savings
All participants who complete a 2027 training course receive a complimentary copy of the Club’s Essential Guide to Touring. In addition, Caravan and Motorhome Club members who successfully complete a course may qualify for exclusive savings on selected Club insurance and cover products.
Courses are open to all drivers holding a full UK driving licence, regardless of Club membership status.
