The Caravan and Motorhome Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Harvey Alexander as its new Chief Executive, following the decision of his predecessor, Nick Lomas, to retire after many years of dedicated service. Nick will officially step down on 23 February 2026 and Harvey will formally take up the role.  Until that time, Harvey will be Chief Executive Designate and continue undertaking his current role at the Club as Director of Marketing and Membership Services; Nick will continue as Director General and they will work together to implement a detailed handover programme.

Harvey joined the Club in 2015 as Director of Marketing. During the past decade he has been a driving force behind modernising the Club and broadening its appeal, championing a more inclusive, inspiring identity for all who enjoy spending time outdoors. He played a pivotal role in championing the Club’s rebrand as an inspirational and inclusive community for like-minded people who share a passion for exploring the great outdoors.

Throughout his tenure, Harvey has continuously sought innovative ways to recruit, engage and communicate with both existing members and the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts. Before joining the Caravan and Motorhome Club, Harvey built a strong track record in commercial strategy, digital innovation and customer engagement across both agency and client-side roles. This breadth of experience has shaped his forward-thinking approach and his ability to deliver meaningful change while staying true to the Club’s values.

David Turner, Chair of the Caravan and Motorhome Club said, “We are delighted to appoint Harvey as Chief Executive.  The Club’s Executive Committee undertook a comprehensive, market-wide search to ensure we considered the very best leadership candidates.  Harvey brings exceptional leadership, creativity and a deep understanding of what makes the Club special. He has consistently demonstrated his ability to innovate while respecting our heritage and his vision for broadening access to the great outdoors makes him the ideal person to guide the Club into its next chapter.  I wish Harvey every success in his new role and know he will continue to work in the best interests of the Club and its members. The Club greatly values its relationships with industry colleagues and looks forward to continuing to develop the leisure vehicle and tourism sectors for the benefit of all stakeholders.  I would also like to thank Nick for his outstanding leadership and contribution to the Club over fifteen years as Director General.”

Harvey Alexander, Chief Executive Designate of the Caravan and Motorhome Club said, “For the past ten years I have greatly enjoyed being part of our wonderful Club, constantly inspired by members and the wonderful stories and memories they fondly share.  I’m honored to take on this new role as CEO, committed to ensuring that we protect our Club’s heritage, celebrate its culture and ensure that it evolves and thrives for many generations to come”

Nick Lomas, Director General of the Caravan and Motorhome Club said, “It has been an immense privilege to lead the Club. I have enjoyed improving the Club’s site network, expanding its travel and financial services and improving technology and personal service delivery for members. I’ve also been inspired by the daily commitment of the Club’s amazing staff and dedicated volunteers. I wish Harvey, the Club and its staff every success for the future.”

Alexander continues,  “My thanks go to Nick Lomas for his exceptional contribution and the platform he has created for the Club’s next chapter.  I’m passionate about accelerating our progress and opening up new opportunities for outdoor adventure, pushing forward with innovation and shaping services that excite and support today’s explorers as well as tomorrow’s. I want the Club to lead the way in making the outdoors more accessible, more inspiring and more rewarding for all.”
