The Caravan and Motorhome Club is proud to share the success of its latest sustainability initiative as staff from its East Grinstead head office came together on Wednesday, 24 September, to take part in a community litter pick, in honour of World Cleanup Day.

Organised by the Club’s dedicated Sustainability Team, the lunchtime litter pick saw employees step away from their desks to make a real difference to the local area. Joined by East Grinstead Town Councillor Julie Mockford, a long-time supporter of the initiative, and East Grinstead’s Town Mayor, Councillor John Belsey, the team collected and responsibly disposed of litter, helping to keep public spaces cleaner, safer and more enjoyable for all.

This effort is part of the Club’s broader Litter Pick initiative, which is now being rolled out across its UK-wide Club campsite network. The initiative reflects the Club’s strong commitment to community care, environmental responsibility, and teamwork - values that are deeply embedded in everything the organisation stands for.

“We’re so proud to see our colleagues come together with such passion and purpose,” said Tracy Evans and Kate Ford, Sustainability Champions at the Club. “The litter pick is about much more than just tidying up, it’s about showing that even small actions can have a big impact. It’s inspiring to see our colleagues take ownership of caring for the spaces we live and work in.”

Taking place between 12pm and 2pm, the event was a shining example of the positive change that can happen when people unite around a shared goal. Councillor Julie Mockford, who has supported the litter pick since its inception, praised the Club’s ongoing efforts and the positive effect it's having on the local environment.

As the initiative expands to Club sites across the country, the Caravan and Motorhome Club invites members, local communities, and staff to continue working together for a cleaner, greener future.

Because when we care for the places we love, everyone benefits.
