Caravan and Motorhome Club welcomes new training provider at Plumpton Racecourse

The Caravan and Motorhome Club is pleased to announce that training courses are once again available at Plumpton Racecourse in East Sussex, with Harland Driving School now delivering the Club’s leisure vehicle driver training courses from the venue.

The first course at Plumpton Racecourse will take place on Monday, 24 August 2026, as part of the Club’s network of 18 training centres across the UK.

The Club has more than 47 years’ experience delivering practical driver training and has helped over 61,000 people build confidence when towing and manoeuvring leisure vehicles. Courses are suitable for both Club members and non-members, from beginners to experienced tourers looking to refresh their skills, and can also benefit those towing horseboxes, boats and trailers. 

Course attendees at Plumpton will be able to choose from:

• Practical Caravanning
• Caravan Manoeuvring
• Motorhome Manoeuvring

Training covers key skills including safe towing, reversing, manoeuvring, loading, safety checks, and understanding relevant road regulations.

Participants who complete a training course will receive the Club’s Essential Guide to Touring free of charge, while Club members may also be eligible for savings on selected insurance and cover products.
