The Caravan Club's online community largest of its kind in the world

Launched at the beginning of 2012, The Caravan Club’s online community, ‘Club Together’ has become the largest online caravanning community in the world in less than three years. It has become the social networking site for caravanners and motorhomers to come together, share views, exchange tips and hints about their favourite past time, chat together, offer caravanning advice and make new friends.
While many organisations in the UK use social networks such as Twitter and Facebook, The Club felt that as the largest touring organisation in Europe it was perfectly placed to develop its own online community and it has gone from strength to strength, now featuring over 20,000 discussions and 500,000 posts.
Tony Hall Director of Marketing for The Caravan Club, says, “With over one million members The Club hoped that its own online community would be an excellent added member benefit, but had no idea that it would be as popular as it has been! It has proved the perfect way for members and non-Club members (as everyone is welcome to join ‘Club Together’), to meet, talk and share their experiences, after all, that’s what tourers do naturally when on site, now they can do it virtually too!”
Rowena Becker, Online Community Manager, adds, “It is a joy logging onto the community every day to read all the comments and stories and it’s nice to see members interacting and clearly enjoying being part of our online community. Since launching the community, The Club has also benefited greatly, as it allows us to make changes or improvements to products and services based on member feedback.
