Why stay here ...

Well-placed for visiting many of the châteaux and medieval towns nearby, this site is pretty and well-maintained with lots to offer families. It's a haven of peace and serenity, surrounded by stunning countryside, where you'll receive a warm welcome.

Flowering shrubs and neat hedges separate the ample pitches, some of which offer beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, and facilities include a great pool complex with covered and outdoor pools, an excellent restaurant and a quiet reading room, as well as weekly entertainment for all ages in summer.

Located at 400m altitude at the gateway to Savoie and the Alps, among the many attractions in the area are the Chartreuse caves and monastery where you can taste this unique liqueur. Guided tours are offered in English on reservation. Nearby walking and cycling opportunities are abundant, and Chambéry and Grenoble both merit a day trip.

A fantastic site!

Le Coin Tranquille
We stayed here as a retired couple with our caravan in the first week of July. First impressions were very good with lovely flower beds at the entrance and super friendly staff in reception. We were allowed to walk round the site and choose from available pitches which meant we could select what we thought was the best situation for us. Excellent facilities always spotlessly clean. We loved the pool area and swam a lot in the heated outdoor pool and enjoyed sitting on the loungers reading. One of the things that sets this site apart for us is the super family who are involved with all aspects of running the site, nothing is too much trouble. They have prepared information for great days out in the area so you can make the most of your stay. We loved market day in Chambéry, the electric boats at Chanaz, Aix le Bains and Mt Revand plus swimming in the local lake. We had a great time at the campsite party on the Wednesday evening with excellent food, wine and company. We had a very peaceful pitch so heard no noise from anyone. We would love to return as I can honestly say that it is probably one of the best overall caravan stays we have had in France.

Staff were brilliant in 2023 season

Le Coin Tranquille
Our favourite site. Don't miss the Wednesday evening communal meal because you will meet some lovely fellow campers - mostly Dutch who speak very good English, and the staff who are introduced as the stars of the show and indeed they are. Best pool and restaurant facilities we have experienced. We had a lovely holiday with brilliant site atmosphere. We went to Lac de Bourget and to the Chartreuse mountains which are a must. Most Brits just stayed on the site and relaxed. Take your pick.

Lovely site with excellent facilities and a really nice atmosphere.

We stayed here in our motorhome for a couple of nights coming back from Italy and loved the site. We were lucky that we got a pitch on the edge of the site with beautiful views facing north over fields. Most pitches aren’t very even so you will need your levellers. Beautiful pool area Excellent restaurant Good showers Very nice atmosphere Would highly recommend.

Fantastic family site - Tranquille it certainly is.

Le Coin Tranquille
we spent 5 nights at this site in mid August. They recently completed a new indoor/outdoor pool which is a fantastic addition allowing children and adults plenty of room to swim and play. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The facilities were first class. Lots of clean toilets, showers and wash rooms. Our pitch was large and shady with a beautiful view and the site is very quite at night. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

Its all about the staff

Le Coin Tranquille
We've just returned from three weeks at this fabulous site. Family owned and run where everyone involved in the running of the site cares about the guests and always has a smile and kind word. The restaurant is the best in the area and gets plenty of local people using it. The pitches are generous and have little hedges round them to ensure some privacy. Most people we met at the site had been there before. Anacy and Chambrey are just a short trip up the motorway and there's plenty of local lakes. The only fault in the area for us was the amount of lakes that didn't allow dogs to swim in them. We had a heat wave and keeping our dog cool was quite an issue.
