Why stay here ...

Set on the tip of the Sainte Marguerite peninsula, Les Abers boasts breath-taking views across the sea and islands, which you can walk to at low tide. It’s managed with care by the le Cuff family, who have landscaped it beautifully and arranged the grassy pitches into small clusters.

The site has a quiet, rural ambience and is ideal for couples and families who don’t need a lot of entertainment facilities. That said, fantastic activities and entertainment such as Breton folk music evenings, cooking classes, guided walks and yoga are all arranged for guests, and the beautiful beach offers bathing and water sports.

The area has many walking and cycling trails that take in the coastline, and horse riding is nearby. Brest is close enough for a day trip, and has a bustling quayside, a castle and, of course, Océanopolis, the only ocean discovery centre of its kind in Europe.

Lovely beach

Des Abers
We stayed here recently and found this site to be very good. Pitches are quite a good size and the facilities were good. Yes you do have to buy tokens for the showers but this is because the gates are open on to the beach and anyone could walk in. The beach is lovely and lots of people were out walking. Staff were very friendly. We walked up to the town and found a little supermarket and the usual array of shops. We would happily stay here again.

Ideal First Stop

Des Abers
We made Des Abers our first overseas stop and we chose well we think. Des Abers is a lovely site just over an hour fron Roscoff it was late September so things were at an end for the season, the shop was shut no entertainment which wasn't a problem for us Showerblocks were quite a good standered and cleaned regularly, pitches were very nice with plenty of space but noticed some pitches you needed a long cable for wlectric hook up. Staff in the recption were very nice and helpful. Would stop over again

Outstanding site with a great atmosphere

Des Abers
We were a little bit anxious about the summer "entertainment" here... but SO wrong. The atmosphere was one of celebrating people's musical abilities. It was always quiet by 11. The toilet facilities were scrupulously clean and the staff could not have been more helpful when we had problems (nothing to do with the site). We met some other English folk who had found the site and now return every year... and I can understand why... it is close to a lovely beach, managed by people who seem to genuinely care about the quality of what they offer and manage the site with warmth. This is an outstanding site, and great value.

Stunning coastline

Des Abers
A very friendly site right on the beach, the views are exceptional and when the tide is out you can walk to the islands which is highly recommended. The site is close to the town of Landeda which has adequate amenities the nearest hyper market is in Lanilis which is ten minute drive. The facilities are clean but a bit basic and I'd imagine a bit busy in peak periods. You need a token for the showers but you do get enough time and they are very hot regardless of what time of day you use them.  The pitches are a bit disorganised and the first game of your visit is finding the electric hook up on some of the pitches but there are enough to go around you may need two leads on some pitches. The pitches are grass and fairly level but there is a lot of sand due to the closeness to the beach so take your Hoover and brush. The electric did have a reverse polarity so do be aware, during our visit we had three power cuts talking to some fellow campers it does happen on a regular basis. When you check in you are given a great welcome and during your stay you are treated as a friend. There is a small shop at the entrance of the site which is useful for fresh bread in the morning and for those items you have forgotten to bring.  There is no bar or restaurant on site but can highly recommend the Oasis restaurant just outside which do great pizzas and the staff are vey friendly, very reasonably priced too. This site does attract many owners with dogs the location is the cause of this I'm sure.  Overall I love this site and sure to return especially for the great views and sunsets.

Fantastic Holiday

Des Abers
Fantastic location with amazing sea views. This is by far my favourite French site in terms of dog walking, site mgt and sea views. There are only 2 restaurants in walking distance and they are not open every day but we did not find this an issue. This time we hired a car for the day which was so easy to book that the UK could learn from the French.
