Why stay here ...
Kleinenzhof has been run by the same family for 3 generations. There is a hotel with a restaurant and all year indoor pool, a super indoor activity area for the kids, petting animals and a new outdoor playground area.
The site has a magnificent setting in a wooded valley surrounded by hills, in the north of the Black Forest and has a bustling stream running through it. It's a popular area for walking and mountain biking enthusiasts and far from any built up area.
Just locally in Bad Wildbad try the amazing swing bridge over the trees or climb high on the Wildbad Forest top walk with magnificent views of the forest.
There are many residents from local towns on site that benefit from the year long opening dates and the site also warmly welcomes holiday makers passing by, to enjoy the ever changing spectacular scenery in this beautiful area.

Travel broadens the mind! Very different site to CAMC sites in UK
KleinenzhofExcellent stay.
KleinenzhofNot up to CAMC standard
KleinenzhofWe pre booked to stop off for two nights en route to Luxembourg having spent 5 nights in Lake Garda as part of an early summer holiday. (End of may to early June) The site does have excellent showers and toilets, spotless and warm. The restaurant serves excellent food too. The pitches however are “haphazard” with hook ups located so distant that we had to cross 2 pitches to hook up, and that was using a 25 meter lead. The “Perimeter of the site” pitches are given over to permanently sited caravans that all have a neglected look, usually surrounded by rickety fencing that is either falling down or requires painting and most usually both. The grass is long, the pitches not particularly level and the description of hedging as separation must be referring to the hedge between the main road and the site! I didn’t see any hedging to speak of within the main body of the site. As a touring base to explore the region I would say it is okay. But it is tired in appearance, has the feel of a mid-west “trailer park” and not a relaxing environment. We left after the first night as this site is not comparable to any CAMC/ CL site we have visited either in the UK or Europe. Please, conduct a site visit and seriously consider if this is the quality the club should be “recommending” to its members. I wondered why there is no review for this site, maybe it was also disappointment to other members who have been too polite to write an honest appraisal.
Comment from the Club :
The site Kleinenzhof was visited last year and inspected for the CAMC , the images on the CAMC website were taken then.
As you mention the site has great shower and toilet facilities ,a lovely traditional Gasthof hotel with a super restaurant all run by the Harter family. It has both an indoor and outdoor pool and a wonderful array of wild animals and indoor and outdoor play areas for children. In addition it features a modern reception and well stocked shop on site. It is situated in the middle of the forest in a valley with a small stream running through it surrounded by the mountains and ideal for visiting Bad Wildbad and the surrounding BlackForest area (including the stunning suspension bridge that is featured on the CAMC website.)
In Germany most sites have an area of residents that are for the local city people to come and relax in the summer and yes they are often well-loved caravans with individual characteristics used mostly at weekends/during the summer holidays. These customers pose no risk, they are just German people on holiday.
As for the pitches, as you can see on the images on the CAMC website - there are hedges separating some pitches, whilst some pitches are not delimited.
We wish you had asked the site to change pitch, or rung the Travel Services at the CAMC, if you had difficulty with your electric cable. We are always happy to try and help, and could have resolved the problem for you.
