Established in 1962 in Hull, East Yorkshire, by Terry Reed and George Kemp, Ace quickly became a trailblazer in the caravan industry, notably for its pioneering use of GRP panels. Following a decade-long merger with Belmont to form ABI, the brand eventually joined the Swift Group in 2001, where it remained until its retirement in 2009.

However, 2026 marks a triumphant return for Ace Motorhomes, debuting a fresh lineup of van conversions and coachbuilt models. This resurgence was immediately validated at the 2026 Motorhome & Campervan Design Awards, where the Ace 1200 SLT won the Van Conversions with a Rising or Pop-top Roof over 6 Metres category.
