Karl-Heinz Schuler founded Carthago on 1 July 1979 and at that time the Company offered one off tailor-made conversions, to customer’s own specifications. Two years later the company moved to Ravensburg in a 200m² workshop with just 3 employees. Today, they operate from two sites and employ over 900 staff. Their sister brand, Malibu, was originally introduced in 1991, and initially manufactured on the Volkswagen T4. It wasn’t until 2013 that Malibu was launched as a separate brand to Carthago.

"It certainly packs in a lot for a motorhome that is just over seven metres. I love the floor storage in Carthago motorhomes. The acoustic panel inside is really smart and a little bit different."
