Isuzu Jidōsha Kabushiki-Kaisha is the full name of the company best known as simply Isuzu, it was named after a river that flows past a Japanese shrine. The name means “fifty bells pealing in harmony and celebrations.” Isuzu was founded in 1916 in Japan, and first came to the UK in 1987.

At the Caravan and Motorhome Club Towcar of the Year 2026 the Isuzu D-Max STEEL Edition was awarded the Pick Up Towcar award.
