Isuzu Jidōsha Kabushiki-Kaisha is the full name of the company best known as simply Isuzu, it was named after a river that flows past a Japanese shrine. The name means “fifty bells pealing in harmony and celebrations.”  Isuzu was founded in 1916 in Japan, and first came to the UK in 1987.

The Isuzu Trooper 3.5 Citation LWB won the Best All Terrain Vehicle in 1999 and with the Isuzu Rodeo Trooper Denver scooping the Best Utility Vehicle at Towcar of the Year 2005.
