In 1931 the first Mazda vehicle rolled off the production line, the Mazda-Go three-wheel truck, 29 years later Mazda produced its first passenger car, the R360 coupe in 1960.  The name Mazda comes from Ahura Mazda, the god of harmony, intelligence and wisdom from the earliest civilization in West Asia. 

Mazda are regular entrants into Towcar of the Year and their 2-litre Mazda6 Estate has won four awards over the years.
