Volvo has won the overall best towcar title six times, first in 1985 with the Volvo 360 GLEi, then in 1992 with the Volvo 940 SE Turbo, in 2007 with the Volvo V50 D5 Sport, in 2019 with the Volvo XC60 D5 PowerPulse AWD R-Design, they repeated their success the following year in 2020 with the Volvo XC40 D4 AWD R-Design Pro.  The Volvo XC60 T6 Plug-in Hybrid AWD Plus was crowned the Caravan and Motorhome Club Towcar of the Year 2025.

At the Caravan and Motorhome Club Towcar of the Year 2027, the Volvo XC40 B4 Mild Hybrid FWD Plus Pro won the Caravan Weight 1400kg– 1500kg class, the Volvo XC60 T6 Plug-in Hybrid AWD Plus took the top spot in the Plug-In Hybrid Towcars class and the Volvo XC90 T8 Plug-in Hybrid AWD Plus Pro won the Large Family Towcar class.
