GWM

Founded in 1976 in Baoding, China, by Wei Deliang, Great Wall Motors (GWM) began as a modest workshop known as the Great Wall Repair Factory. The company shifted to manufacturing commercial vehicles in 1984. Under the leadership of Chairman Wei Jianjun, nephew of the founder, GWM expanded into passenger vehicles and light trucks, evolving into China’s largest privately owned automotive manufacturer and a major global exporter.
