Top Gear filmed at Berwick Seaview Club Campsite

The Caravan and Motorhome Club has always strived to inspire and encourage people to enjoy the great outdoors, and with caravan, motorhome, campervan and glamping holiday becoming more popular than ever, we have been working with a number of television production companies this year to highlight the joys of our favourite pastime.
This year alone, many of our Club campsites have been featured in hugely popular TV programmes including ITV’s This Morning, Channel 5’s Million Pound Motorhome, Susan Calman’s Grand Days Out and Merton and Webster go Motorhoming, to name but a few.
The latest programme to feature our passions is BBC’s Top Gear, airing on Sunday 21 November at 8pm on BBC1. Filmed at our Berwick Seaview Club campsite earlier this year, the show’s presenters; Paddy McGuiness, Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris set out to revolutionise the world of caravanning, each chosing their favourite small, perfectly formed ‘micro-caravan’ to team with a state-of-the-art electric car, and set off for a peaceful getaway in the beautiful wilds of Northumberland. A peaceful getaway that somehow ended up including a Zorb-ball hillclimb… and a chilli-eating ‘hot lap’ challenge! The presenters then spent some time on our beautiful Berwick Seaview Club campsite talking to our members and our site staff.
