A very pleasant site

Barton Hill Farm
We had two nights here in June 2022 and a very handy, tidy and quiet site it is. Very good for visiting Stowe and surrounding towns.

Super little CL

Barton Hill Farm
Very late decision to stay over Easter Bank Holiday weekend and was surprised there was room here. We enjoyed feeling that we were l part off the goings on at the farm/smallholding with various small animals (rabbits, guinea pig etc.) in a fenced off part the field and the tractors out and about and occasional caravan being moved in the yard (presumably storage). Our youngest children enjoyed taking our dog down the lane passing the horses. Our dog got a bit frightening by the big loud guard dog by the HS2 works over the field but this is such a lovely site, big enough to enjoy the space without feeling lost and sheltered enough without feeling claustrophobic. We certainly enjoyed hearing the cockerels and sheep in the fields around us and the birds in song. Water, waste, hook ups, and recycling are all easily accessed However, there is one thing that really annoyed me and that was the undulating nature of the site field. Admittedly we were running late so had to pitch fairly quickly but because we were only staying a few days it didn't bother us too much. However, trying to get a caravan level on that site is an absolute nightmare. Front to back was straightforward enough on the jockey wheel but side to side...?!? As a result the awning wasn't as straightforward as it usually is to erect. Whilst the leveling thing is a big issue if that is something you can overcome then do go and visit this glorious and well kept site. And at just £12, including EHU, this site isn't to be overlooked.

Good site. Agree with other review. Lovely underused site

Barton Hill Farm
This is a lovely level site with loads of room. Yes we were there on a w/e so unsure if local HS 2 works are a disruption, but site is good. Easy to access, very helpful owner and well worth the money . We were on our way to Hughendon home of DisrLeigh. Worth a visit.

Our first ever CL and perfect

Barton Hill Farm
Stayed here for 3 weeks in May. After years at commercial sites this was our first CL and absolutely loved everything about it. It was quiet even over a bank holiday weekend, never got full at any point and seems hugely underused. Friendly family and incredibly quiet and rural. Beautiful location only marred by various HS2 works but they aren't visible from the pitches. We've stayed at several more now and this is still our very favourite. Not a single negative thing to say.

All you need from a CL

Barton Hill Farm
This is a field with power, water and waste disposal. Come on, what more do you want? OK, it's set in lovely surroundings in a working farm - so there are sheep and horses around. The farmers are extremely friendly and helpful. The pitches are widely spaced and easy to access - if you park just right on the one furthest from the water supply it's nice and flat. :-) I recommend arriving from the A4421, not the A421 as the road is better at that end. Easy turn in. I have no idea how the reviewer who got stuck did so - it's really not challenging terrain at all.
