Why stay here ...

Christopher and Patricia welcome you to "Down on the Farm" CL. The location is ideal for those wishing to explore the Cheshire countryside by foot or by bicycle. Within the area there is an abundance of wildlife, owls, birds of prey, badgers, foxes and many more. In the village of Kingsley (0.3 mile) there is a Co-op and a local pub.

Frodsham, Chester Zoo and Chester are a short drive away. The Delamere Forest and local fisheries are also close at hand.

As this is a working farm, Christoper and Patricia are more than happy to provide guided tours of the farm showing the different farm animals and activities that may be of interest, especially for the children. For 2025 it is hoped that the play and toy garden will be open as well as the new toilet block, pets corner and BBQ.

There is a dog area that is enclosed for your dog to run off lead, available.

Fantastic CL

Down on the Farm Willow Tree CL
Just had a great chilled weekend at this animal related CL. We were welcomed with half a dozen eggs by the owner who explained about the local area and the rescue animals she keeps. There is a pub in the village as you turn right from the site and also another approximately 1.2 miles away if you turn left. Pat is obviously a very caring animal person who welcomes campers to the CL to support her rescues and will give a guided tour of the animals, well worth a visit!

Just returned from five nights at this rural site. Welcoming owners who are knowledgeable about the area. Ideal base for exploring. Looking forward to returning next year. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Lovely site

Down on the Farm Willow Tree CL
Little gem of a site. Loved the tour of the farm and meeting the animals, including a menagerie of rescues. The owners are so friendly and accommodating, nothing too much trouble. The site is a 10 minute walk from the village which has a Co-op/Post Office, pharmacy and dog friendly pub with a couple of good real ales. Delamere Forest is an enjoyable walk, either via back lanes or bridal/footpaths. Would recommend - and will return. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Peaceful and scenic

Down on the Farm Willow Tree CL
We stayed for three nights but had circumstances been different we would have stayed longer A warm welcome was given to us plus half a dozen eggs by Pat her enthusiasm considering it was raining was lovely she explained all about the site and area . The site was on grass even and plenty of space water point and power.the location was slightly tricky to get to down a narrow country lane but well worth the effort. You could look around the farm there was horses , calf’s , pigs and other livestock a full working farm . Dogs were welcome on leads ( working farm) so all in all I would certainly recommend this location to everyone.Having said that am i shooting myself in the foot here I wish to return not to find it fully booked 🤪🤪 thank you for a nice stay

Genuine welcome and great CL

Down on the Farm Willow Tree CL
Just stayed here for 2 nights and would happily have stayed for longer if our plans had allowed. The site is so quiet and Pat and Chris are so welcoming although they are clearly very busy with everything they take time to explain all about the farm and the animals. Easy access to all of the North West and even into North Wales for anyone wanting to use the site as a base or as a stop off on route to elsewhere. We would definitely recommend this CL and we'll definitely be going back.
