What a rip off

Helsby Park
Looked this site up on caravan club website, states £14 per night, I expect to pay a few pounds extra but they want £25 a night. Not a chance

Handy site for walking

Helsby Park
We've just got back from spending a weekend at this CL in our campervan. The gate was open as arranged so we just went straight in.The site is really pretty with lovely views of wooded hills. The hard standing pitches had a bit of a slope, but nothing that leveling wedges couldn't sort. The pitches are nicely spaced, although we had the site to ourselves anyway. Nice grass next to the hardstanding so we could step straight out of the van onto grass which is nice. Electric hookup was included in the price. The site is on a footpath that heads up to the hills, with the option then of walking in along a good footpath along the base of the hills into Helsby, about a 2.5 mile fairly level walk. You can hear the motorway in the distance, but soon filter it out. There is a school on the other side of the main road, so I expect you would be able to hear that during the week in term time. Overall we really liked this site and will return.

Noisy, sloping hard standing pitches.

Helsby Park
On arrival gate was locked, on contacting warden, we were advised they couldn’t open for two hours. Whilst on site we experienced a static home resident from site adjacent allowing their dog to fowl near the caravan pitches, not pleasant! There is a large field adjacent the site that they could use to exercise their dog! Site has sloping hard standing pitches. Site is adjacent A56 and M56 which has constant road noise day and night. Shame, site has wonderful wildlife. We will not be returning.

Peaceful site handy location

Helsby Park
Hidden jewel between Frodsham and Helsby. Have stayed several times it's a great base for visiting Chester, Cheshire Oaks, Chester Zoo and even Liverpool. Nice local walks from the site. Frodsham offers a good street market on Thursdays. Morrisons and a local Sainsburys in Frodsham, Tesco in Helsby. Local takeaways will even deliver to site! Will definitely be back.

We found the site very quite with four gravel hard standing and three electric points with four points on each. There is a point for drinking water and wast next to it Also there is a toilet wast area with bins next to it The site is made up of two fields. Close by there are some very nice walks for dogs and those that love walk up to the old quarry close by. For those that love to drive it’s easy access to the close by towns Fodsham has some takeaways pubs and stores close by .
