Helston Certificated Locations

Situated in the English county of Cornwall on the Lizard Peninsula, Helston's biggest claim to fame is that it is the most southerly town in Britain. This makes it a great place to holiday as not only is there plenty to do, but it is also likely to be warm during the summer months.

The town centre offers a mixture of Victorian and Georgian architecture and tourist highlights include the Helston Museum and the Blue Anchor tavern, what could be the oldest brewery in the country.

Just outside the town is the Flambards Experience theme park and the Poldark Mine, which is open for underground exploration by visitors, as well as the Coronation Park & Boating Lake and the Penrose Estate.

You'll be able to enjoy great meals out at one of the many pubs and restaurants and walk across an idyllic beach on Praa Sands.

Finally, if you visit on or around 8th May, you can enjoy the spectacle that is the Furry or Flora Dance, when the townspeople participate in a series of jigs throughout the day that are part of a longstanding Cornish tradition.
