Why stay here ...

Welcome to Tresowga Cottage CL.

We are a rural site of about 0.75 acres in a sheltered valley location on a small holding with poultry, pigs and sheep. With little light pollution there are some lovely starry nights and owls can be heard in the valley. Access into our site off the B3275 is excellent and all pitches are hard standing with electric hook ups and water points on each pitch.

Dogs are welcome on leads at all times, there are circular country and village walks from our site and a beautiful tidal riverside walk along the Tresillian river to St Clements nearby (1.5 miles)

It is a short walk to the local village of Probus where there is a farm shop, local garage with shop and a village shop with post office. Probus also has a local pub, Church of England Church, Chinese takeaway, fish and chip shop, cafe and Indian restaurant. There is also a local GP surgery in the village.

Probus is at the gateway to the picturesque Roseland Peninsular with its beautiful sandy beaches and coastal walks. We are also ideally situated for exploring both north and south coasts and close to the cathedral city of Truro (6 miles), the Eden project (16 miles) and several National Trust Properties.

There are good public transport links to Truro and St Austel just along the road, where there are supermarkets and a Truro park and ride from Waitrose (4 miles).

We look forward to meeting you and hope you have a lovely time touring Cornwall.

Convenient Site for Truro and area

Tresowga Cottage
We recently returned from another visit to Tresowga Cottage CL. We are regular visitors as we have family in Probus which is a short but rather steep walk from the site. We have found the site very convenient for exploring this part of Cornwall; Truro, Falmouth, Newquay, St Austell and St Mawes are all within easy reach as are the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. We have a motorhome and like to use public transport when we can and there is a frequent bus service to Truro, from where buses go to many other places, or in the other direction buses go to St Austell, Bodmin and St Mawes. The bus stop is a few minutes level walk from the site. Probus village has two shops for groceries as well as a farm shop, pub, fish & chip shop, Chinese take away and an Indian restaurant. The pitches are pretty much level and there is a tap for each pitch. There is some noise from the adjacent road and nearby railway line, but we have not found this a problem. The owner, Samantha, is always very friendly and welcoming.

Great CL

Tresowga Cottage
This is a great CL. We visited in September 2020. Located about 5 miles from Truro it provides good access to all parts of Cornwall. The owners are very helpful & friendly giving us advice on places to visit & things to do. The pitches are well spaced with electricity & water provided at each. The nearby village of Probus has a pub, petrol station, small convenience store & fish & chip shop. The site is quiet & peaceful though there is some noise from the nearby rail line & road at peak traffic hours. WE enjoyed our stay & Tresowga Cottage & will be back next year. Highly recommended.

fabulous place to stay

Tresowga Cottage
We stayed for 3 nights, using the site as a base for visiting Cornwall. The position is fantastic as you can reach everywhere in under a hour. Power and water for every pitch. Pitches are hard standing and level. We are a 33.5ft American RV towing a smart car and we got in to the site no problem. The owners are very welcoming and informative about local attractions and we will 100% be staying again on our next visit and would highly recommend this site . Fantastic job guys keep up the good work. Lee and Sheryl 27th Sept 2019

Convenient spot

Tresowga Cottage
Very much enjoyed our stopover with our motorhome. The hard standing was useful in the recent wet weather and very helpful owners. We will hopefully be returning.

Good spot

Tresowga Cottage
OK so its on a B road and has a railway track near but it didn't bother us at all. Level site could take a large twin axle easily. Static on site is used as an art studio. Very friendly owners who recommended The Wheel pub close to site which served good food. Easy access to a variety of places of interest and close to park and ride to Truro. Will be using the site again.
