Well cut field, Easy access, tired.

Enford Bottom Caravan Park
Enford farm shop clearly marked. Although Clarification of CL signs not easy to identify. Site well cut lawn next to sheep field. Calm and quite with the occasional motorcycle exhaust identifying the busy shillingstone road. Portaloo with exposed wires for electric shower ( out of order, although showing on app) missing cleanliness. All bins full for the 3 day duration, no recycling available at all. Owners very nice and chatty. Walks into the forresty commission wood accessed through the valley and along the fire tracks. Deer, pheasant squirrel and buzzard to be seen. Hod hill and the Stour walks available safely from Durweston. The white horse in Stourpain very good for food. Other pubs closed working a Wednesday to Sunday open only policy. Overall site was tired and lacking offered facilities. Enjoyable few days away.

Enford Bottom Caravan Park
4 days stop for a family Birthday. Very peaceful , sheep ,donkey and a llama made us very welcome ! The owner Trevor was very welcoming. It’s a CL site and did everything it says on the tin. Beautiful views .

Campervan Visit September 2019

Enford Bottom Caravan Park
As previous review stated the size of the CL is much less than the picture suggests. However the grass pitches appeared well drained and cared for although we did need levellers. A beautiful location and peaceful site and we experienced little road noise in spite of its close proximity. We did not use the "toilet". The farm shop had limited opening when we visited. Walking from the site involves a steep climb to get out of Enford Bottom and the usual permissive route through the neighbouring field was not used as they had put a bull in the field along with the cows and calves! Once you get out of the valley there is some excellent walking although some of the public bridleways were impassable. Walking along the main road is potentially dangerous as it is narrow and there is no escape onto a verge. For this reason we did not even attempt to access the very good nearby tramway cycle path.

Owners appear to have lost interest in the upkeep of parts of this CL

Enford Bottom Caravan Park
Visited in September. Shoddy toilet in a broken dirty portaloo, no hand washing facilities within toilet, should not be allowed to list this as a toilet in the description! Small strip of field, that looking at previous photos is now less than half the size it was. No rules on where to pitch. 6 EHU points, 3 shared water taps.  Bins available in a broken fenced off area, but no recycling available. Nicely cut grass and peaceful site. but it is a sloping site, so it is not easy to pitch in traditional way. Also as the site is narrow, can be hard to manoeuvre. Would not stay again

Wonderful!

Enford Bottom Caravan Park
This was our 2nd stay at this peaceful CL. Everything about it is perfect for us. We’ve been CL caravanners for many years and have become a little disappointed with the way many CL’s have become too manicured. Enford Bottom has all the qualities of good old fashioned CL’s. A large well cut field with beautiful views, no road noise and sheep and cows in the surrounding fields. But with up to date mod cons. Electric hook ups and your own tap. We visited the well stocked farm shop and bought a very reasonably priced haunch of wild venison. It’s was the best venison we’ve ever tasted. Highly recommended! Thank you, Sylvia and Tony
